Build a detailed renovation estimate request.
Choose a city and select the work you need. Items with posted prices produce an instant subtotal; other scope items are carried into the request as “Requires quote.” Final quantities, site conditions and scope still require JT review.
Estimator boundaries
Know what this planning tool can—and cannot—calculate.
Posted-price items produce an instant subtotal using the quantities entered. Quote-only items and the final proposal still require property-specific review.
Is this a house construction cost calculator?
No. It estimates selected renovation categories for an existing house, condominium, rental unit, multi-unit property, or commercial interior. It does not calculate land, development, ground-up new-home construction, design, utilities, site servicing, financing, or total replacement cost.
Is this a whole-building cost estimator?
No. The calculator covers only the renovation choices shown in the form. It is not a building-cost database, quantity survey, insurance replacement-cost tool, lender report, or estimate for a complete new building.
Does JT offer standalone construction estimating services?
No. This free tool supports early planning for prospective JT renovation work. A JT price requires a defined scope and normally a site walkthrough; professional design, engineering, takeoffs, tendering, or third-party estimating are separate responsibilities when required.
What can change the estimate?
Existing and concealed conditions, dimensions, access, occupancy, building rules, drawings, permits, inspections, related trades, material selections, taxes, delivery, disposal, and schedule constraints can all change the eventual scope and price.
